Where Fun Machine (2012) honoured the band’s roots in classic R&B, soul, and jazz — reimagining songs by The Drifters, George Michael, The Jackson 5, and a standout take on Hall & Oates’ Rich Girl — this sequel opens the frame wider.

Here, familiar songs are held up to the light and heard anew. R&B and pop favourites sit alongside quieter, more introspective works. Dionne Warwick’s Anyone Who Had a Heart and The Pointer Sisters’ Automatic share space with the tenderness of The Cranberries’ Linger, the timeless pull of Carole King’s So Far Away, Bonnie Raitt’s Nick of Time, and Shania Twain’s enduring You’re Still the One.
